hola! hello! marjaba! bonjour! ciao!… ok those are all the “hello’s” i can write down from the top of my head…. i am very new at this blogging business, as you might all guess, the idea of writing random toughts for the eyes of complete online strangers is a little strange.. however, i am constantly looking for new ways of expression, and figured that i might try something new and different in 2008… hence this blog. by way of it i hope to share ideas, interests and projects with old and new (!!) friends, eventually (hopefully) leading me to a more full and creative Carla (that’s me!).
so, a little background info for those of you i don’t know (if anyone is even reading this, considering a return?)…. and a reminder for those of you i do…
i am 25, female, born and raised in Puerto Rico… since my late teen years i’ve moved around several times, mostly due to academic interests abroad… i am an academic at heart (or by a default inclination, i’m not sure)… archaeologist and bioarchaeologist (osteologist, physical anthropologist.. your choice) by formation (BA and MSc) and have hopes of continuing in that direction soon (~ish) with a PhD… i have other interests, i’m not just a huge nerd…. i love photography (snapping pics and post-processing them), it has always been my secret passion, and i work on it when i can…. and i really enjoy other manual, crafty hobbies (knitting, drawing, jewelry making, writing, learning new languages… ) you might say i’m your typical creative individual with so many interests, it is sometimes (often) hard to correctly direct the creative wave in such a way that i may finish something, sometime…
… well, that is enough rambling nonsense for one morning. here’s to a productive, creative year, and to sharing some of my creations with you all…
